Civil Engineering Project Manager


CNC Engineering (CNC) seeks a Project Manager to join our team at our City of Industry (Industry) office. The work will encompass a wide variety of municipal public works projects, including roadway rehabilitation and widenings, drainage design, storm drain hydrology and hydraulics, waterline and sanitary sewer projects, grading, and traffic engineering. A California PE license is required. The City of Industry is an economic hub of the San Gabriel Valley with the goal of investing in regional infrastructure to foster job growth and business success. Join our team of civil engineers, land surveyors, construction managers, and GIS professionals as we work to implement a variety of capital improvement projects.
Our project managers are responsible for:
  • Creating and monitoring multiple project budgets and schedules
  • Designing and preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Managing quality assurance and quality control
  • Provide design support to the construction management team
  • Coordinate with all affected utilities
  • Effectively troubleshoot project issues, recommend, and implement solutions
  • Interface with clients on project coordination and progress
  • Training, leading, and mentoring the design support team
  • Reporting project updates and schedules to the Director of Engineering
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • California Licensed Civil Engineer
  • Minimum of 8 years professional design experience of municipal projects involving mostly roadway, and drainage. Other areas of knowledge in traffic engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, grading, water quality, signals, retaining walls, water and sewer are a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably on public works projects
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
  • Willingness and ability to assume greater responsibilities when presented
  • Proven time management and organizational skills to see multiple projects through to completion
  • Proven ability to complete successful public works projects
  • Proven experience in working successfully in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and proficient with Microsoft Office products
