Marketing & Proposal Coordinator


CNC Engineering is seeking a Marketing & Proposal Coordinator with the following qualifications and experience:

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the preparation of proposals to municipal and private developer clients, including packaging the proposal, coordinating with the sub consultants, writing sections of the proposals in conjunction with the project manager. Other tasks include:
      • Review and analyze RFP/RFQ requirements, coordinate with various team members
      • Participate in Go/No-Go decisions
      • Edit/format qualifications/proposal content for readability, consistency, clarity and compliance
      • Track and report status of all proposal elements
      • Work with local reprographics firm for packaging of proposals, if required
    • Maintain and update company proposal elements such as resumes and project sheets
    • Update and maintain company customer database
    • Produce brochures, advertisements, newsletters, graphics, and other print items
    • Website management, including updates to text, pictures and content
    • Organize and manage company social media content, posts and campaigns
    • Attend professional events and network with other marketing and A/E/C professionals
    • Research information on future Request for Proposals and Qualifications
    • Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new clients
    • Manage and host company booth at Professional Events such as Mobility 21 and Focus on the Future

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and/or experience:

    • College degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communication, English or Liberal Arts, or an industry-related field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a proposal/marketing coordinator in the A/E/C industry in Southern California
    • Computer skills with focus on graphics design and productivity tools including the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite programs, such as InDesign and Photoshop, MS Office, and Web research
    • Good organization skills and the ability to multitask
    • Familiarity with industry Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to work flexible hours and extra hours, as needed to meet deadlines
    • Attention to detail and time schedules, and the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects, under tight deadlines
    • Proficient telephone and verbal skills
    • Comfort and confidence speaking with prospects, vendors, and customers (“A people person”)
    • A CPSM or the ability and interest in obtaining one in 12 months
